Join our dynamic Investment Management Team as a placement student / intern on a 12 month fixed term contract, where you will support our strategic objectives and priorities through research, analysis, and creative contributions. This is an exciting chance to work collaboratively with experienced professionals and develop tools and systems that streamline our investment strategies.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the rest of the Investment Management Team and supporting key activities.
  • Providing input on investment strategies.
  • Taking ownership of tasks, proposing ideas, and working creatively under tight deadlines.
  • Developing tools & systems for analysing investment strategies and applying policies.
  • Analysing economic and performance data to assess whether investment managers are meeting their performance objectives.
  • Enhancing and developing reporting tools.
  • Analysing large data sets to provide insights to the team.
  • Utilising asset-liability modelling software and risk analytics tools.
  • Supporting team projects to advance operational priorities and objectives.
  • Contributing ideas, challenge practices, and apply academic thought practically.

Skills & qualifications:

  • Studying towards a degree with relevance to the areas of responsibility. We will also consider recent (within the last 2-years) Graduates.
  • Have a keen interest in and understanding of investment and finance, and how financial history may influence investment decision making and risk management.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and data analytics.
  • Creative thinkers with a methodical and enquiring mind.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
